MINUTES OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF BUCKNALL PARISH COUNCIL
HELD AT 6.30PM THURSDAY 24 MARCH 2022
IN BUCKNALL VILLAGE HALL
Present: Mr D Forman (Chair); Mr D Mills (Vice-Chair); Mrs L Mills (Clerk); Mrs J Moreton (JM); Mr D Wilkinson; Mrs S Adams; Mr J Poole; Mr J Moore (JMo); Mr S Perry
In attendance: Cllr W Gray
Cllr Bradwell was unable to attend.
1. APOLOGIES: None
2. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Minutes of the previous AGM held on 6 April 2021 (via Zoom) had been circulated. All agreed they were an accurate record, therefore DF signed them as correct.
3. MATTERS ARISING
None.
4. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
DF presented his report for the previous year. He thanked everyone for their contributions over the past 12 months. The new bench on the village green had been very well received. Covid, unfortunately, is on the rise again though currently in this area, the situation is not critical.
5. TREASURER’S REPORT
LM circulated a copy of the accounts for year ending 31 March 2022. There are no further transactions due before the end of the year and the current account balance is £4668.67. The ELDC Precept of £2000 is due to arrive in the account in April.
6. ELECTION OF OFFICERS
DF happy stand as Chair * Proposed by JP, seconded by JM
DM happy to stand as Vice-Chair * Proposed by DW, seconded by DF
LM happy to continue as Clerk *
*Unless anyone else wishes to step in
There were no other volunteers or nominations for these roles, so those named above were unanimously elected.
7. CLERK’S EXPENSES 2021-2022
To be discussed privately.
8. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
SA asked whether a fence could be installed for the benefit of the baby and toddler group which meets in the village hall on a weekly basis. DF was of the opinion that parents should be supervising their own children. All present agreed with this point of view.
