MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AT 5.00PM
THURSDAY 20 MARCH 2025

1. PUBLIC FORUM - no members of the public were present at the meeting.
2. APOLOGIES - received from Cllr Gray (ELDC); Cllr G Wilkinson will be late
3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST - None
4. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Minutes of the previous meeting held on 8 January 2025 had been previously circulated. All agreed that they were correct so DF signed them as an accurate record.
5. MATTERS ARISING - None
6. PLANNING APPLICATION S/022/00284/25 - Westfield House, Copper Street
No objections though concern was expressed regarding the use of Copper Street itself which is a single track road with no passing places. This may cause issues with construction traffic and farming traffic using the road.
ACTION: LM to submit the Parish Council’s observations to the ELDC Planning Portal.
7. PLANNING APPLICATION S/022/00335/25 - Construction of vehicular access and driveway, Post Office Farm
No objections. The Parish Council voted unanimously to support this application.
ACTION: LM to submit the Parish Council’s observations to the ELDC Planning Portal.
8. FOODBANK - no issues.
9. SAFEGUARDING - no issues.
10. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
DF - development at The Nook. The contractors have been making fires on the site and the fire service attended last week after calls from concerned residents. ELDC have been contacted as the notice at the site states that no fires were permitted.
ELDC Environmental Health have been chased up today.
GT - mentioned the parking outside school which is always an issue; he had a near miss this week.
ACTION: LM to contact the headteacher regarding parking (again) with a further request that staff/parents/carers use the village hall car park instead of the main road.
DF further informed the Council that a letter had been sent to the school regarding recent unruly behaviour of pupils in the village hall grounds.
DF - Speedwatch training will hopefully start at the end of March.
ACTION: DF to chase up equipment, which has still not arrived.
Before the meeting closed at 6.00pm, the date for the AGM was agreed as 3 April 2025 at 5.00 pm
