Updates provided by Cllr Gray, EDLC:

Grants available for residents - subject to eligibility - at the moment via the ELDC website:  Green Homes Grant Funding - for making homes more energy efficient; and the Household Support Fund - for households in financial hardship.

Extra recycling bins will be shortly provided to households, for paper, cardboard etc.  Glass will then be able to go in the current recycling bin.  The new bins should be distributed in time for the start of the summer months.  He also explained that Lincolnshire’s waste is recycled correctly, as long as none of it is ‘contaminated’.  Incinerated waste is used for heating places such as hospitals.

Ukrainian support - lots of information regarding what is needed can be found on the ELDC website.

Community Lottery Scheme - residents can buy a ticket for £1.00 which supports local schemes, which are in turn nominated by by the community (same as in Tesco etc.). The lottery scheme is also planned to start in the summer.

A new initiative - ‘Pride in East Lindsey’ - consisting of cleaning teams who will visit areas to identify places that need sprucing up.  Parish Councils can also contact the teams to ask for areas to be looked at and dealt with as necessary.

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 7.01pm
