9.    ANY OTHER BUSINESS:

GT asked about the possibility of getting the white PVC fences on the entrances to theVillage (like Hosington) as they mark the village boundary and encourage people to slow down. Cllr W Gray explained permission would need to be sought from LCC Highways and we would have to ensure there are no services under the gates.

GT also remarked on the amount of dog foul down St Margarets Walk and suggested a notice could be placed near the bus shelter to remind people to pick up their dog waste.  Cllr W Gray said that this issue can be reported anonymously to ELDC, if there are suspicions as to who may be the culprit.  Cllr Gray stated that he would report to the Dog Warden.  SA remarked that Platts Lane was also a dog fouling hotspot.

JP pointed out a problem on the pavement of Platts Lane near number 3.  It has been sprayed yellow and ‘fixed’ but the intention of the person spraying the problem and the person fixing the issue seem to be confused.  There is still a trip hazard on the pavement which need addressing.

Cllr W Gray informed us that there is a brown tail caterpillar infestation at Skegness beaches, can cause a skin irritation.

Before April 2026 a weekly food waste collection will start in ELDC, compostable bags will be provided for the bins for the first year.  Domestic waste will still be collected fortnightly.

Age Uk Lindsey has closed, but Lincoln & South have taken over some of the services, including the one located in Horncastle.

The seasonal beach restrictions for Dogs have begun on certain areas of beaches in ELDC.

The SO Festival will run from 12th June along the costal strip.

THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS, THE MEETING CLOSED AT 6.22PM
