MINUTES OF FIRST MEETING OF 2026 HELD AT 

4.50PM, MONDAY 30 MARCH 2026

ST MARGARET’S CHURCH, BUCKNALL

PRESENT: Cllr D Forman (Chair); Mrs L Mills (Clerk); Cllr B Adams; Cllr S Adams; Cllr D Mills; Cllr G Taylor; Cllr G Wilkinson

In attendance: Cllr W Gray (ELDC)

1.  PUBLIC FORUM

No members of the public were present, therefore no Public Forum was necessary.

2.    APOLOGIES: received from Cllr J Moreton, Cllr D Hawkins; Cllr D Wilkinson.

3.    DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

None.

4.     MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

The Minutes of the previous meeting had been previously circulated.  All agreed they were correct, therefore DF signed them as an accurate record.

5.    MATTERS ARISING

Cllr Gray stated that the Government will help with the cost of heating oil if people are eligible.  He asked that if Councillors knew of anyone who might qualify, they forward the email he had sent onto those who may need it.

He went on to say that there were lots of events happening in the area over Easter. More information can be found on the Lincs Digital website. 

Cllr Gary also informed the Council that a new round of funding was arriving soon — a £10million pot has just been announced.  This will probably be the last round of grants before the change to unitary authorities.   He encouraged the Parish Council to apply for any grants that might be appropriate.   Cllr Gray went on to say that he has a personal grant to dispense for small amounts.  GT wondered if a grant for the proposed white gates for the would be an appropriate request.  Cllr Gray replied that an ELIF grant would be best for this.

7.    SAFEGUARDING

Nothing to report.

8.    ANY OTHER BUSINESS

DF noticed that the tree in Platts Lane has now been trimmed. Also ELDC lifting drains in that road and clearing them.  

DF thanked Cllr Gray for his invaluable help. Support and advice this year, as always.

Cllr Gary thanked Cllr S Adams for her help in the preparation for the Community Litter Pick. He also asked that his gratitude be passed on to
